A common fall/winter fashion trend that has taken me a while to grasp is... the fur vest. Because I tend to be a bit heavier in my mid-section, I have never found a vest that looked, well, flattering. The nice thing about them, however, is that they can be paired with almost anything and worn any season.

I found this furry little number (faux of course) in Barcelona. I recently visited there with a girlfriend of mine. We were saving our last day (we had three days in total) for shopping and shopping only. I was prepared to spend a minimum of 3 hours in the one and only Spanish retailer, Zara! Yet, of course our "shopping day" fell on Independence Day and thus all shops were CLOSED. You can only imagine the devastation.

We managed to track down a local shopping centre that carried the basics. And I, if I say so myself, was quite pleased with what I found.
