I can’t believe it’s been a year and a half since I moved to Vancouver… and I have yet to explore the hell out of it! Before today, I had only hiked two trails (Quarry Rock + Norvan Falls - both beginner level and lovely). Today… well, today was a bit more challenging (for me, anyhow). Let’s just say the turqoise-colored water and alpine mountain views were undeniably worth the struggle (red wine may or may have not been consumed the night before...!).
Several girlfriends and I took the Garibaldi Hike by storm (9 KM up + 9 KM down). While it was no “stroll” for me, the hiking trail was so beautifully forested and the glacier lake was something else. I could go on and on about this… but I think I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
This was definitely one of my better Sundays....! Anna, Mats + Ash - thank you for being so patient with me during the climb! Kirst, Rosh, Gabs + HJ - couldn’t have asked for better company at the “finish line”. Joffre Lake, you’re up next!
Enjoy!
